The narratives of the people who co-existed around the post-contact period have been long overlooked. It is the hopes of this blog to shed light on the lives of the people-that Native people of the Pacific Northwest, the people of the Fur Trade, the men and women who lived and worked together in places such as Fort Vancouver, with a special emphasis on the women and the Metis-the offspring of the Native and European peoples who worked at Fort Vancouver and the surrounding communties.
